UNSW Sydney, the Sydney Coastal Councils Group and Surf Life Saving NSW are conducting a study about what NSW coastal communities understand about coastal hazards. We would like to gather information from people directly involved in working with the coast; coastal managers, consultants, academics, and other conference delegates.
This short survey is designed to get YOUR PERSPECTIVES (in your role working with the coast) on what you think are the challenges involved in preparing coastal communities for future coastal hazards.
This survey should take no more than 10 MINUTES to complete.
You may leave questions blank if you do not wish to answer them, but we encourage you to provide as much information as you can for any open-answer style questions.
If you do consent to participate in the survey, you may withdraw at any time. However, once you have submitted the questionnaire, we will not be able withdraw your responses as it is completely anonymous.
Survey data will be securely held at the University of New South Wales and will be used to compile and publish a formal report that may be disseminated to all interested parties. The study is conducted by A/Prof Rob Brander, Anna Attard and Tom FitzGerald of UNSW Sydney and has ethics approval HC17389. This project is funded by a NSW Department of Justice/Office of Emergency Management State Emergency Project.
